The Department of Curriculum and Instruction is charged with providing every child with a quality education based on sound principles of teaching and learning. The entire department considers the needs of the child to be the greatest priority. 

Preparing students to be college and career ready begins in Iberia Parish when students enter prekindergarten. All schools make data-driven instructional decisions to ensure that students achieve the learning outcomes established by the Louisiana State Department of Education. Currently, teacher, administrators, and support staff are implementing the new Common Core State Standards and building students' foundational reading skills. Research-based instructional practices and 21st Century Learning Environments provide the catalyst for all students to be successful. Additionally, the Iberia Parish School System provides students exposure to the post-secondary experience through dual enrollment, Industry-Based Certifications , and career-related activities. This experience allows students to earn university and community college credit while still in high school.
