Khan Academy Schedule for School Closures
Summary: Khan Academy has created schedules, which are meant to be templates that you could adopt as is or copy and modify to better suit the needs of your children. Khan Academy does have self-paced, interactive content – exercises, videos and articles – for students in every grade and in most major subject area. Schedules are available for English, Math, Science and Social Studies for the following grade levels:

  • Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades
  • grades 3rd – 5th 
  • grades 6th – 9th
  • grades 10th – 12th

How to Access:
1. Click here.
2. Scroll down to find your child’s grade level.
3. Within the schedules, select the appropriate link (i.e. Grades 6-9, 6th grade math)
4. Each day, your child can access a different topic by selecting the same grade level link in #3.

 

School Center – Grades 4-12
Summary: This is a skill-bulding resource that allows students to practice skills necessary for success in all content areas. *This is a free resource available from the Iberia Parish Library. You will need a library card to access this resource.
How to Access:
1. Click here.
2. Click on the title “School Center” located on the second row. A drop-down for Elementary School, Middle School and High School will appear.
3. Select the appropriate school level. Students will now see the option to select different types of practice organized by content.

 

Brain Pop, Jr. – Grades K-3
Summary: Educational, interactive videos on a variety of topic including science, stocial studies, math, reading and writing, Arts and Technology, and Health. Each video includes activities and a quiz.

PBS Learning@Home – Ages 2+
Summary:
LPB and other public media stations have prepared broadcast programming and accompanying digital resources – addressing state and national standards – to provide continued at-home learning.

 

ABC Mouse – Ages 2-8
Summary:
This site helps student learn to read through phonics and teaches lessons in math, social studies, art, music and much more.

Scholastic Learn at Home – Grades PreK-6+
Summary:
Even when schools are closed, you can keep the learning going with these special cross-curricular journeys. Every day includes four separate learning experiences, each built aroun a thrilling meaningful story or video. Kids can do them on their own or with their families.

2. Scroll down to the bottom and select your child’s grade.
3. Select the day that you would like to complete.

 

 

PhysEd.tv - Elementary – High School
Summary:
This resource includes workout videos with fitness, health and nutrition content for elementary, middle school and high school students. New workout videos will be made available each week.

 

Kaplan ACT Test Prep - High School
Summary
: This YouTube channel offers ACT Prep videos for the reading, math, and science sections.
